Cancellation Policy
One of the ways we ensure we keep the best cleaning teams is making sure they stay busy.
We know life happens and we’ll always be understanding of that.
However, in order to keep our teams busy, we ask for at least a 48 hours notice if there’s a need to cancel.
In cases where we don’t get at least a 48-hour notice, we reserve the right charge a cancellation fee.
ROUTINE CLEANING SERVICE CANCELLATION FEE: $50.00 flat.
FIRST TIME CLIENTS CANCELLATION FEE : 50% of Cleaning Service Cost.
Cancellation fees may be charged for reasons outside of requesting a cancellation.
Essentially, if we aren’t able to perform the service at no fault of our own, a cancellation fee may be charged.

Electronics policy.
We do not detail household electronics such as tv, computers, etc., as these items are a liability.
Pest policy.
If we come to the house and there is any form of infestation, we will not be able to service the space, and you will be responsible for 50% of your cleaning fee as this will interrupt our scheduled routine cleaning services.
Limitations & Liability
Liability Risks We Can Remove
Most homeowners are not aware of their liability regarding the proper handling of taxes and workman’s compensation insurance for household employees. Don’t worry. Scarabs Cleaners bears this entire responsibility. All of our employees are taxed, bonded, insured, and covered by worker’s compensation insurance in accordance with all state and federal regulations. All employees are screened and subject to criminal background checks and drug testing. Our employees are trained and work in teams of two or three. Each cleaning team works with a supervisor to make certain your home is cleaned to our high standards and most importantly yours.
Professional In-Home Estimate
Scarabs Cleaners will provide you with a free in-home estimate covering a complete overview of services, and costs to provide these services for your Initial Cleaning, Weekly Service, Bi-Weekly Service, Monthly Service and On-Call Service intervals. Your in-home estimate allows us to better understand your specific needs, and make recommendations to save you money. Prices quoted at the time of the in-home estimate are to perform the cleaning services designated. Prices quoted are subject to change. Any alterations or deviations from the conditions covered at the time of the estimate will become an extra charge in addition to the estimated costs listed.
Cleaning Products and Equipment
Scarabs Cleaners provides all cleaning products and equipment. All products are biodegradable, soluble in water, efficient, and non-harmful to your family, pets and household furnishings.
Damage Coverage and Exclusions
All items of value that are non-replaceable, one-of-a-kind, sentimental value, collector items, discontinued patterns, family heirlooms, and high cost crystal-china-ceramic items must be disclosed to Scarabs Cleaners. These items cannot be cleaned due to insurance regulations. Scarabs Cleaners will not be liable for items not disclosed and listed on this estimate. Scarabs Cleaners will not be liable for items broken or damaged due to product wear-and-tear, nor damage to or caused by fixtures that are not properly secured such as pictures, mirrors, window treatments, wall coverings, lack of furniture glides for wood floors, lack of scratch covers on the bottom of furniture decor, cabinet mounted appliances, and household accessories. Scarabs Cleaners will not be liable for any damages that are caused by running the dishwasher. Scarabs Cleaners will not be liable for damage that is not reported within 24-hours of your last cleaning. We will not accept liability for damages directly or indirectly caused by non-standard company products and equipment requested to be used. Scarabs Cleaners will only consider liability for the repair of replacement cost of the item damaged or broken. If an item is part of a set, only the cost of the individual item will be considered.
Cleaning Preparation
In order to provide you with the greatest value, we ask you to take a few minutes to tidy up extraneous clothing, toys and other household items. These items are not included within the estimated costs associated with cleaning your home. If this service is needed please advise our estimator at the time of the estimate, or call to discuss your particular needs.
Cleaning Times
Our cleaning service is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm. If you need a specific time for cleaning, we can provide an estimated one-hour window for arrival times. We will provide you with a reminder call or text message prior to your scheduled cleaning. If you need to cancel your scheduled cleaning appointment, a 48-hour notice is required to avoid being charged for your cleaning.
Tips
Tipping is a personal preference, it is usually not expected but always appreciated by our cleaners. Most customers who are very impressed with the overall job will leave 10%, 15%, 20% and sometimes more depending on the person and the situation.
Payment
All payments are due within 24 hours after the completion of the service. If no payment has been received after 24 hours, a 10% late fee will be applied to each day until payment.
Gift Cards
In-Home Access
We are delighted to offer gift cards that can be purchased as donations for our cleaning services. These gift cards are valid for a generous period of 12 months from the date of purchase. This means that recipients have ample time to redeem their gift cards and enjoy our cleaning services at their convenience. We believe this duration provides flexibility for our valued customers to plan and schedule their cleaning needs accordingly. Most of our customers provide us with a key. For security, keys are coded individually, cross-referenced separately, and code-accessed in our computer system. Keys are stored in our locked key safe and tied into our security system.
